In an attempt to keep Spencer busy on our first day with Ben back at school, we decided to break out some Christmas decorations. I must say that this mini-me really shows me how much he is like me more and more every day. He was so interested in the lights that he wanted me to bury him (where he stayed for several minutes quietly...) And meanwhile, Gilbert, our... cat (?) sat and watched things happening. He DOES sit like this frequently, though once I took a few pictures he decided he'd had enough of being the center of attention and went back to a normal cat posture: sleeping...

first snow!
We had a two-hour delay on Thursday due to our "storm". Once it got light out, all Spencer wanted to do was go out and play in the "winter"! The boys were out just shy of 7am and played for over an hour and into the rain. They had a blast and enjoyed the hot chocolate with marshmallows for breakfast dessert...

Spencer and I went for a walk in Vaughn Woods with Annabel and her mom Helki. Spencer was enthralled with Annabel and when we stopped all he wanted to do was hug her. For days later: "Nanabell. Want to hug him." :)

making up for lost time
Hello loyal blogger-followers! I apologize for 1. the lack of recent posts and 2. the plethora of post on this single day. I've recently uploaded over 400 photos and now have to back track to update the blog. I will leave you with these four today, but check back in a few days. There will be more!
As always, thanks for checking on us here, and for letting me know that you do. It's easier to maintain the blog when I know that family and friends are anxiously awaiting new posts.

| Bottled. And now it sits and gets yummy (we hope). |
Pops and I made another batch of beer. The process (especially the bottling) went so smoothly this time, I'm anticipating an excellent beer. Now we just have to wait until it's ready to drink (this is the hardest part!).
leaf play
Ben gets serious air when he jumps into a pile of leaves.
Spencer might not be quite so graceful... but he doesn't give up.
bye bye boat!
The Jewett boys took the boat to the other end of the lake to have it put away for the winter. I think it was the coldest day we had in October, of course. They bundled up and I met them on the other end...

Pops and I did our annual hike up Table Rock in Grafton Notch in October. It was neat to see snow on the mountain, and it even spit snow at us while we hiked! We did it! Another year down. And, of course, we stopped at the Sunday River Brew Pub for lunch and a beer afterwards. It just wouldn't be right if we didn't...
