Jay rode his bike with about 1600 other 'Trekkers' 187 miles across Maine this weekend. The start on Friday morning was at Sunday River, and the crew ended on the coast at Owl's Head today, Father's Day. It was a hot weekend, with today's weather hitting 90 degrees! Jay feels "sore, but good" and he's very glad to have participated in an event that raised over $1 million for the American Lung Association. This year Jay rode in memory of his grandmother, Emily Quimby.
Katie, Sue and Phil drove down to the Owl's Head Transportation Museum to see Jay cross the finish line, which he did after a slight detour of having to fix a flat tire within the final 10 mile stretch! Katie (7 months pregnant) did well to stand in the crowd and watch the bikers finish. It was an exciting day!
