Less than 2 months to go!

Here's my belly (baby)! As you can see, I'm getting rounder and bigger by the day. At my last appointment with my midwife, I had gained 26 pounds at the 32 week mark. That's right on target! The biggest change I've noticed is that I can't be in the car for any more than short trips because otherwise my feet and hands start to feel really tight. I can't wear my rings anymore, so I wear them on my necklace.

The coolest part of this whole adventure so far has been feeling Muffin move, and watching the rolling and poking under the skin. Jay and I just stare in amazement as my belly contorts with waves of movement. The prime time for movement seems to be right after I eat and then major movement between 9-11pm (when I lay down in bed).

Fun!!!

Preggo Update

Here's a photo taken this morning of a 7+ month pregnant Katie!

I've been feeling very well, and am just starting to slow down a bit with the incoming warmer weather. I definitely need to take more breaks when I'm working in the garden or walking Harley, but enjoying pregnancy still! It's hard to believe I just have 2 months left, and then I get to meet this little person inside me!

Jay completes the Trek Across Maine!

Jay rode his bike with about 1600 other 'Trekkers' 187 miles across Maine this weekend. The start on Friday morning was at Sunday River, and the crew ended on the coast at Owl's Head today, Father's Day. It was a hot weekend, with today's weather hitting 90 degrees! Jay feels "sore, but good" and he's very glad to have participated in an event that raised over $1 million for the American Lung Association. This year Jay rode in memory of his grandmother, Emily Quimby.

Katie, Sue and Phil drove down to the Owl's Head Transportation Museum to see Jay cross the finish line, which he did after a slight detour of having to fix a flat tire within the final 10 mile stretch! Katie (7 months pregnant) did well to stand in the crowd and watch the bikers finish. It was an exciting day!
